A Sweet and Simple Song

I had fun creating this plaster and ink painting on vellum and mounting it on a 100 year old cedar shake.  Vellum is a little tricky to work with as the paper shifts and shrinks when it comes in contact with anything wet like paint.  I am happy to have a spring time piece to offer up for sale for SEVA.  Thanks for taking a look  :)





The Impression of Trees

The photo doesn't really do this one justice, but I had to find a spot on my walls that I could hide a couple of extra nail holes  :)  I like how this turned out, even when it decided that it needed to be a bit troublesome and become a diptych.  Plaster, watercolor painting strips, acrylic paint and a few other bits have created a nice texture.  I am pleased to be offering this for sale for SEVA as well, and am happy to report that I just sold 2 more smaller pieces on ebay.  As always, thanks for looking  :)

A little playful something created from the paint palette of a dear artist friend, Heather Brewster.  A lot of plaster, a little graphite, a little paint and some lace, and there you have it-- a little something I hope to sell in support of SEVA (a charity that restores eyesight to people in developing countries).  Thanks sooo much for dropping by  :)

Landscape of the Heart I

I really had fun with this too :)  I have added plaster and lace to the palette board of my dear friend, Heather Brewster.  From there it was sanding, painting, scribbling, smearing and coating.  Snapped a few pics, and voila-- another piece ready to go in support of SEVA.  Thanks for stopping by  :)
